FAQs

I am an English Language School. How do I work out my student numbers?

English Language Schools must calculate their Full Time Equivalent (FTE) student weeks.

Full time is defined as 15+ hours per week.

How to do the calculation
Number of full-time students x number of weeks = FTE student weeks

Example 1
12 full-time students on a 2-week course
12 [no. of full-time students] x 2 [length of course in weeks] = 24 FTE student weeks

Example 2
30 part-time students on 5 hours per week for 1 week
10 [no. of students x 5 hours, divided by 15]  x 1 [length of course in weeks] = 10 FTE student weeks
